Diversity
The practice usually serves a fairly diverse population of children and teens. Diversity is represented in sexual orientation, socio-economic status, gender identity, and ethnicity. As a practice, we are dedicated to social justice. Our staff engage in ongoing exploration, alongside our students, of privilege and the impacts of systemic oppression of those from traditionally marginalized identities.
Private Practice
Groupworks is a private practice that provides students with exposure to working in this type of setting. Throughout the practicum experience, Drs. Sheppard, Thieneman, Love, Perkins and Steinkamp will provide insights into private practice in professional psychology. Treatment team meetings occasionally focus on business of practice and marketing concerns.
