Carons Haynes, Psy.D.
While pursuing my bachelors degree at Bellarmine University, I discovered my love of psychology: the intersection of science and compassion. This led me to earn my masters and doctorate in clinical psychology from Spalding University with an emphasis in children & families. Throughout my training, I developed a deep appreciation for the role connection plays in our mental health. In other words: our brains are wired to be connected to each other! As a result, I fell in love with groups and the unique space they create for the members within them. I completed my doctorate and post-doctoral fellowship in southern California. During internship and fellowship, my love of individual therapy and psychological assessment blossomed. However, my enthusiasm for group therapy remained, and I am extremely excited to be back in Louisville & facilitate groups in the community I love! My clinical interests include identity development, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, adjustment, and trauma. I believe each individual is an expert in their own experience- and with the right tools and skills - can create a deeply meaningful and fulfilling life. When Iām not working, I love gaming, reading, community organizing, and cooking
