The field of psychology is complex and unique, as it is the crossroads where the worlds of philosophy and the natural sciences meet. I was drawn to the field because of this dynamic. I am originally from Montgomery, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and Master of Science degree in clinical psychology. I am currently a doctoral candidate in the School of Professional Psychology at Spalding University. My clinical interests include interpersonal neurobiology, sports psychology, and interpersonal dynamics. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, practicing martial arts, outdoor recreation, spending quality time with friends, and playing/watching various sports. I particularly enjoy any Atlanta professional sports, all Auburn University athletics, and professional mixed martial arts.
Ultimately, my desire as a clinician and future psychologist is to "change the world." As such, I believe that one of the best ways to accomplish this goal is to have a healing impact on the individual “worlds” of those with whom I work. I believe that instilling even the smallest change can cause a cascading, ripple effect of positivity and healing. As humans, we are limitless. Each of us living lives with infinite possibilities. As people, we are resilient, exhibiting daily fortitude and endurance. Each of us can change the world. So, I believe that when we change the “world,” of one, we change the lives of many.
