Jillian Lange, MA

Assistant Office Manager

I first discovered my love of psychology in the aftermath of a close friend’s car accident during my sophomore year of high school. During this difficult time, I was struck by the resilience that each one of us had to keep moving forward despite all the sudden challenges we faced. Wanting to continue to explore how people can gain so much from their adverse experiences, I pursued my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Michigan State University. I immersed myself in research on post-traumatic growth, close relationships, and effortful control strategies in children with anxiety. To work more directly with individuals in the greater community, I volunteered for two years at a children’s grief support group center. It was one of the greatest privileges to walk alongside elementary to middle school children as they processed and grew in their grief journey. I am currently pursuing my PsyD in Clinical Psychology within the School of Professional Psychology at Spalding University. In my clinical training, I am gaining invaluable experience working individually and in groups with children, adolescents, and young adults. Meanwhile, to advance my goal to eventually run a private practice of my own, I decided to accept the opportunity to work with the administrative team at Groupworks as an Assistant Office Manager. I look forward to working with Suzana and Esha administratively to help support the mission of Groupworks!
