Claudia Jaggers, B.A.
I believe that understanding why we think, feel, and behave the way we do can be an important first step toward creating meaningful change. I am especially interested in understanding the relationship between cognition, emotion, and behavior, and I enjoy working with people to better understand the factors that influence how they function in their everyday lives.
My clinical interests include psychological assessment, psychopathology, emotion regulation, neurodevelopmental disorders, and the relationship between brain functioning and behavior. I am particularly drawn to assessment because it can provide a more comprehensive understanding of an individual’s strengths, challenges, and unique patterns of functioning. I value taking the time to look beyond a diagnosis and understand the person as a whole.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Clinical and Community Behavioral Health from Western Kentucky University, graduating summa cum laude. I am currently completing my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at Bellarmine University, where I have developed experience in psychological assessment, clinical research, and evidence-based clinical practice. After completing my master’s degree this spring, I plan to pursue doctoral training in clinical psychology, with the goal of continuing to develop my expertise in neuropsychological assessment and the relationship between brain functioning and behavior.
I strive to approach each person with curiosity, compassion, and respect. I look forward to helping individuals better understand themselves, recognize patterns that may be affecting their lives, and work toward making changes that are meaningful to them and consistent with their core values. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where people feel heard and understood.
