Olivia Hatfield, BA
From an early age, I knew I wanted a career centered on helping others. After taking an AP psychology course in high school, I discovered a passion for understanding human behavior.
I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Akron and decided to pursue graduate training to combine my desire to support others with my fascination for psychological processes. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in counseling psychology at the University of Louisville.
Throughout my educational and professional experiences, I have had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds, which has strengthened my belief that individuals are the experts of their own lives. As a practicum therapist, I see my role as helping clients access the tools and insights they need to shape the lives they envision. My clinical interests include interpersonal dynamics, identity development, anxiety and depressive disorders, and trauma, all explored through a culturally responsive lens. While I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan, I feel especially drawn to supporting adolescents and young adults.
In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, playing with my cats, and thrifting for unique (and often weird) finds.
